On Sunday, 29th September, we came together at Burgess Park to celebrate all things cycling at Southwark's Cycle Fest.

The event was a fantastic mix of fun, community activities, and opportunities for cyclists of all ages and skill levels.

Peddle My Wheels was thrilled to host a bustling second-hand bike market, offering affordable bikes for those looking to start or enhance their cycling journeys.

But the day had so much more to offer: JoyRiders led two brilliant group rides, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, while Community Cycle Works provided free bike repairs. We also showcased our OurBike cargo bike scheme, and attendees could earn rewards for their cycling efforts with the BetterPoints app.

Other highlights included police bike marking, exciting activities for kids, and first aid demonstrations from St John’s Ambulance. Visitors also had the chance to connect with Friends of Burgess Park and learn more about cycling and the park’s offerings, while the Public Health Bus provided well-being support and information.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of such a vibrant event. Surrounded by smiles and so many people on bikes, the day was filled with energy and community spirit. We can’t wait for the next one!

We'd also like to extends a huge "Thanks" to Southwark Coundil for orgainising and funding this event.
